Our Eco Ethos

60 / 100

We can all do our bit to tackle the climate crisis, which is why G.P.S recognises the importance of recycling to preserve our planet for the future of our children and grandchildren. We pride ourselves on helping the planet and our local community.

Books

To prevent books going to land fill we donate books to care homes. If you are a organisation that would benefit from a book donation please get in touch.

Food

All non-perishable food that is in date is donated to the local food banks in our community to help lessen the food poverty crisis we are encountering at the moment in Bournemouth, Poole and Christchurch area.

Furniture

Unwanted furniture is a large bulk of land fill. At G.P.S we aim to rehome furniture with fire regulations that is in a good clean condition in our local community centres.

Bric-a-brac

At G.P.S we donate bric-a-brac to a local charity shop, The Bournemouth & district cancer foundation raises funds for cancer research and care in the local area. Clothing

The fast fashion culture is a global environmental dilemma and raises serious environmental concerns. At G.P.S we recycle wearable clothing to our local charity shop, the clothing that is no longer in a condition to be worn is sent as rags to the recycling centre where it will be shredded and made into new sustainable garments.

Bedding

All clean or unused bedding is donated to the Salvation Army to help the homeless in our community.
